Business in Mind was founded by Dr Gerry Russell. After completing a PhD in Physics at Queen’s University, Belfast, Gerry worked for IBM for over 30 years in various managerial roles in the UK, across Europe and the USA. Gerry was introduced to mindful techniques early in his career and has been practising for more than 25 years. He has experienced, first-hand, the benefits and relevance of these techniques within the challenging and stressful environment of the corporate workplace. He has a wealth of knowledge as an experienced accredited teacher. Gerry has also taught counselling skills in the UK and yoga instruction throughout Europe and is an accredited yoga teacher and sound healer. He is a member of the Independent Yoga Network and the College of Sound Healing.

Gail Ross-Wham is co-founder of Business in Mind and has worked in both the private and public sectors implementing training intervention programmes to improve all aspects of workplace functioning. Gail first became interested in the benefits of mindful techniques over twenty years ago, particularly in relation to anxiety and depression, coming from a background in healthcare and psychiatric nursing. She has since worked in editing and organisational roles in academia, recognising the positive impact of these techniques on health and performance in demanding work environments. Gail is an accredited teacher with an on-going interest in the substantive scientific research in this field.
